Call for Technology Demos and Product Showcase

The PHM Society invites sponsors to show off their monitoring, diagnostic, and/or prognostic engineering approaches through Technology Demonstrations and Product Showcase  Presentations.

The concept of the Technology Demonstrations is to offer a true “hands-on” learning experience to conference attendees. Multiple demonstrations will be given as brief tutorials to small groups, scheduled over a two-day period. Each demo will last for 30 – 60 minutes, and attendees will be encouraged to participate actively.

The Product Showcase presentations allow companies to advertise their products and/or services to conference attendees. Showcase presenters are provided a 10-minute timeslot to give marketing presentations via computer/table, projector, and microphone. Showcase presentations are not intended to be interactive, and participants are encouraged to network with audience members after their showcase.

What is it?

Product Showcase:
  • This will be a mainstage event on Day 1 or 2
  • All participating organizations will be given 4 to 5 minutes to make an elevator pitch about a cool technology or product they would like to showcase
  • This can be done with a ‘single’ slide visual on the main screen or without it.
  • The idea is to advertise each participating organization’s Technical Demonstration, during which the participant can discuss capabilities, use cases, customizations, etc.
Technical Demonstration:
  • There will be dedicated rooms and timeslots set aside for each of the demos
  • Demos can be software or hardware, or even a presentation (least preferred)
  • In the past, the most popular demos were where participants could tinker themselves and get some hands-on feel with the product
  • Sessions will be 45 minutes to 1.5 hours in duration, depending on how many of you sign up
  • Tech Demo slots will be up for conference attendees to sign up for, so the more advertised it is, the more participation can be expected
